{A Day in Your Life Christmas}: Capturing Holiday Traditions in Photos

When I first thought about writing this blog post, I wanted to share one of my own Christmas traditions—the ritual of choosing our tree with my dad. It’s always an adventure, especially when you have to fit a full-sized tree into a tiny Renault 5! Once the tree is home, we find the perfect spot, pull out our cherished decorations that have been passed down for years, and place our shoes under the tree, just like we always have. I spent hours going through old photo boxes, hoping to find pictures of these moments, but all I could dig up were a few from Christmas Day. So, I thought, why not focus on something different this year?

This holiday season, I wanted to offer something beyond the usual photos with Santa—something more personal. Something that will live on in your family’s memories and be passed down to future generations.

I’m thrilled to introduce the Day in Your Life Christmas session, a special way to capture the magic of your family’s holiday traditions in real time. This isn’t just about posed photos—it’s about documenting your family’s festive activities, from picking out the perfect tree to hanging up those beloved decorations, and everything in between.

There’s something magical about capturing these real-life moments—moments of laughter, togetherness, and love. Whether it’s decorating gingerbread houses, wrapping presents, or spending a cozy evening by the BBQ, these are the memories you’ll treasure for years to come.

As a family photographer, I believe in the beauty of everyday life. It’s the simple, authentic moments that matter most. By documenting your family’s unique Christmas traditions, I hope to create timeless images that will not only capture this holiday season but will become cherished heirlooms for future generations.
