Portraiture sessions are shorter, more focussed shoots that are built like a movie. With gentle direction and scene-setting, we capture the epic, cinematic moments of your life. The location you’ve always dreamed of, the interactions you want to capture forever, the story you long to share.

I was born and raised in Paris and now live in Berowra with my Australian husband and our three children—on-call models who have helped me hone my own “moment capturing eye”. I’ve worked in film and fine art photography since 2013. I’ve exhibited my photos in renowned Australian galleries, travelled Europe for special shoots, had my photos featured in print and online and have won awards—both international and local—for my work.
But I’m more interested in the mess and chaos of life than the prestige and accolades. I’m more interested in making art from the ordinariness of life. And creating a legacy for my clients and their families, like the one my father has left for me.
As you pull out your calendar, here are a few things to consider:
Given the beautiful colours and temperate weather, spring and fall are the busiest times of year for outdoor family photos in Sydney. If you’d like a session during one of those times (especially if you want a weekend spot), please get in touch as soon as possible!
Babies and young children are almost universally at their very best first thing in the morning, which just happens to also be a great time of day for beautiful light.
If you have children under five years old, I encourage you to consider a session at, or as close to, sunrise as you can reasonably be ready.
If you have older children or have one of those rare babies that don’t do mornings, the other time of day that gives us great light is late afternoon/early evening, usually around 1.5 hours before sunset.
Beautiful photographs can be taken in any kind of weather, but I understand that there are some downsides to being photographed in the pouring rain or the freezing cold.
I can and do reschedule sessions for inclement weather, but am also happy to use your home or one of my indoor or semi-indoor locations if sticking to the schedule is a priority.
If you have a particular date or holiday by which you need prints or gifts (Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Hanukkah, Christmas, etc.), be sure to book a date at least one month in advance of that date to ensure sufficient processing and printing time.
For Narrative portraiture sessions, we’re usually done in about 60 minutes or so, but it’s safest to block of 2.5 hours (or 3.5 if you have a newborn in the family) that way we can work around meltdowns and malfunctions.
