{Narrative session} : A Morning with Coco

Why are newborn photos so important to me? Let me paint a picture for you. Imagine holding your newborn baby in your arms, feeling the weight of their tiny body and the warmth of their delicate skin. These are moments that pass by in the blink of an eye, moments that you want to hold onto forever.

Just like in my own experience, when I was pregnant with my son Louis, I took lots of photos of my growing belly. But I never imagined I would regret not capturing his first few days with a professional photographer. I was exhausted and recovering from a difficult birth ( you can read my story here), so I missed out on capturing those precious moments.

I learned from that mistake, and I made sure to have professional photos taken of both of my daughters during pregnancy and after they were born. It's so special to have photos of our family together during those early days.

For Coco’s newborn session,I remember that Sunday morning vividly. The sun was peeking through the curtains, casting a soft, golden light on the parents bedroom. Leslie, the mother of sweet little Coco, greeted me with a warm smile as I set up my camera and prepared to capture the precious moments that were about to unfold.

As I watched Leslie cradle her new baby girl in her arms, the love and adoration in her eyes was palpable. It was clear that this session was not just about taking photos, but about capturing the deep connection between this family of four. As Coco's father gazed at his daughter with pure joy and wonder, I knew that these were the moments that they would cherish forever.

I didn't ask them to pose or fake any smiles. I wanted to capture the raw, authentic moments of love and connection that were happening naturally between them. And as I clicked away, I couldn't help but feel grateful for being able to witness and document such intimate moments.

Newborn sessions are not just about taking photos; they are about creating timeless memories that will be treasured for years to come. The bond between a family and their newest addition is something truly special, and being able to capture that through my lens is a privilege that I will never take for granted.
